We had applied for FCRA renewal within the stipulated date and from the fcra online website, came to know that the renewal has been granted and approved.
Is there any process to get the FCRA Renewal certificate to give a copy to donors and banks who are asking for the same.
There has been no notification on when one would obtain the same and hence would appreciate if any information has been shared.
I believe a lot of NGO’s are in the same category.

I HAVE APPLIED FOR RENEWAL FOR MY ASSOCIATION AND I GOT RENEWAL UPTO 2021. BUT THEY HAVENT UPDATED OUR REGD DATE THERE. AS OURS BEEN REGD IN 1985.
1.) IN PLACE OF GRACE, THEY HAVE MENTIONED AS ‘GREW’ HOW TO CHANGE IT .
2.) WE HAVE ALSO REQUESTED TO CHANGE OUR FCRA BANK ACCOUNT THROUGH ONLINE, BUT THERE IS NO REPLY OR CHANGE.
THEY HAVE ASKED TO ATTACH WHILE CHANGING BANK ACCOUNT : “SELF CERTIFIED COPY OF AMENDMENT APPROVAL BY LOCAL / RELEVANT AUTHORITY TO BE ENCLOSED”
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ?

As far as inconsistencies in the renewal letter are concerned, suggest you please send both a mail as well as a letter by registered mail pointing out the inconsistencies and requesting for correction. If the Dept does not do the correction, at least you will have evidence that correction were requested. But do suggest to follow-up and ensure that the Dept gets it corrected.
Please attach following self-certified documents while filing online application
(1) certificates from the bank Managers
(2) A Board Resolution for opening of the new account giving reasons for change.

Our organisation is registered under FCRA in the year 2001, we have already submitted the FCRA renewal application. We came know that FCRA Renewal intimated through registered email. My query is our email ID registered with FCRA (in 2001) in no more active now, so what is the procedure to change the registered email ID.

You must have filled the new e-mail ID for communication in your renewal application. In that case you will get your renewal order in the new e-mail ID only and not in your old e-mail ID

To change your e-mail ID, please login to FCRA Online services and click on “Change Password” Tab. Here you find options to change password as well as e-mail ID.
I forgot to apply for any renewal of the FCRA Registration of my organisation which is registered as a charitable Trust. Please advise me, if I could apply for the same now and what is the procedure, which form shall have to be used. I regularly send in the yearly returns.
The renewal application was being sent by all the NGOs from April 2015 by post and from November 2015 online, as per new directions. It is quite surprising why you could not file the application earlier. The last date fixed for renewal application was 30th June 2016. If you have not filed your application before that date, I am afraid you may not be able to get renewal, because no further time extension given by the FCRA dept. after that date. You may represent your case to the Director, FCRA. If more such organisations are there, they may give another opportunity.

Thanks!. Just checked the site to find that the email id is different from what we keyed in at the time of renewal. I did try to amend/change, but could not do so.
From the FCRA online site it is clear that the certificate is valid up to October 2021.
Will send the same to the bank etc.

The renewal certificate will be sent to the registered mail of the NGO. The renewal is from 1st November 2016 for the next five years. This same copy can be shared with the banks and donors.

First of all accept my congratulations on getting the renewal, at least for
next 5 and almost half year, you dont have to worry on this aspect.
FCRA is not sending manual letters but only digitally signed letters on your
official (as per FCRA records) email id. Please check. In past there was
some problem where non-digitally signed letters were also issued by
mistake. This resulted even in some disciplinary action, and hence delays in
issue of letters. Hopefully the problem has now been sorted out. So you
should have either already rec’d it or would receive it soon.

This is a common state of affairs. Our application has been granted and approved for renewal during last week of June but till date we have not received any official communication from MHA. Is there any time period we can expect the same ?
We are hearing this time and again. You could meet FCRA officials on last Monday of every month when public grievances meetings are held between 3-5 pm. It is also hoped that senior officers at FCRA Dept who also receive these mailers, do take corrective action at the earliest.
