At our organisation we are exploring the option of initiating a payment gateway.Would appreciate pointers for choosing an appropriate vendor.
Who are the most popular vendors among NGOs.
Are there any special concessions that we could negotiate from the vendors?
Also in case one receives foreign funds ( by individuals) through the payment gateway then what are the points to be kept in mind.
Look forward to understanding the subject.

Dear Anupama,
It is good that several group members have already responded to your queries.
Regarding your comment on FCRA implications, this has already been covered in my post on 30th July 2011 under the subject line PAYPAL GATEWAY. In case you cannot trace this response you can go to our blog and you should be able to find it. If not please check it on SRRF website / blog (www.srr-foundation.org)

Hi all, we are also looking for the IPG facility but what is understood through enquiry that ICICI don’t provide this service for Donation receipts
ICICI and Yes Bank have grand plan for NGOs
Dear Anupamaji
There is an important criterion for selecting the payment gate. This is that the recipient organisation should be made available the names and addresses of the donors.
Per Sec115BBC, any anonymous donations is chrged to Itax @ 30% rate.
We have noticed in some cases that payment gate is not providing the particulars of the donors.
Pl. ensure this.
Thanks
Deepak
Anupama you can contact the same vendors as UWB while we also plan to higher the same.
