Dear Sir,
We have a registration under the FCRA Act. We want to close an existing one utilisation bank account. Is it necessary to take any prior permission from the FCRA Department of the MHA? Or is it necessary to intimate the FCRA department about the closure of the utilisation bank account? If yes. In the FCRA website there is no form for the closing of utilisation bank accounts? What is the form to be filled?

Yes Sateesh, you caught on to a very important gap in FCRA online Forms. There is no facility to update FCRA portal for closure of Utilisation Account. Keep complete record of this mail, including screenshots if possible.
Suggest you may send a email communication to FCRA Dept at email id: support-fcra@gov.in giving complete details of the account to be closed. Let’s hope FCRA Dept will update it, if not, at least you will have a record of the communication sent to FCRA Dept.

Dear Sateesh,
There is a process laid down for the opening of the utilization account and its intimation to the MoHA. There is no provision for such process for closure of the utilization account. I would suggest that the account be remove from the organizational profile from the FCRA website once the account is closed.
Thanks and regards,
