Govt plans an RTE redressal system

As expected a large number of complaints are being received by the Ministry of Human Resources at the centre and with the Education Departments at the state level under Right to Education Act, 2009 which ensures free and compulsory education to students between 6 to 14 years.

The central government now plans to bring out a grievance redressal mechanism to ensure that all grievances are redressed within 3 months at the maximum. Also to make public aware the government proposes that legal entitlements guaranteed under the RTE Act and list of officers responsible for resolving grievances under each of these entitlements be displayed on school walls and panchayat buildings .
