    Dear Kamlesh,

Please do not accept / receive any FCRA funds without a prior permission or FCRA registration. It will cost heavy. Fines for compounding these offences are Rs 1 lakh or 10% of FC amount, whichever is higher.

    Dear Kamlesh,

To the best of my understanding a charitable organization cannot receive FC funds as long as it is not registered with MoHA. If the approval is received in March then the organization cannot receive FC funds prior to that. The other possibility is receiving FC funds through prior permission.

    Thanks and regards,

    Dear friends,
    Season’s greetings from New Delhi!

The foreign donor should not send grant /any fund without getting a copy of the prior permission.

If the donor permits booking of expenditure prior to the date of receipt of the fund and in any case not prior to the date of the prior permission letter, the NGO can take all the permitted expenditure into account.
