Closing of FCRA Utilisation Bank Account

Dear Sir,

We have a registration under the FCRA act. We want to close an existing utilisation bank account. Is it necessary to take any prior permission from FCRA Department of the MHA? Or is it necessary to intimate the FCRA department about he closure of the utilisation bank account?

Regards,

No need for any prior permission, but intimate them once it is closed within 15 days. As per Rule 17A, the need is to intimate any change in designated account only. However in these times of uncertainties, it is better to intimate all changes to the Dept through FC6.

Sorry, slight correction on above. In 2019, the rules amended to include changes in Utilisation Accounts too. Hence please do update any change relating to Utilisation Accounts.
