    Dear SRRF Dialogue members,

FCRA 2010 says that you can open multiple bank accounts for utilization of FC grant/contribution.
Secondly you have to intimate within 15 days of opening of the account. As per my knowledge there is no where mentioned regarding the prior approval of the MHA for opening multiple bank accounts.

    Dear All,

In my view, we required a permission for open bank account and registration under FCRA. After received the registration, society can receive and spend the FC grant and to be submitted the FC6 return annually

  5. BV Soma Sastry says:

    Dear Sumanta,

    Greetings from CWS!

There is no need to get any permission from the MoHA for opening a FC utilization account in addition to the main FC account. But as per the FCRA 2010, the concerned organization has to inform the MoHA about the opening of the account within 15 days of opening such account.
Like other correspondences, NGOs have to retain the copy of registered post and the covering letter for our documentation purpose and safeguard our interests.
    Thanks and regards,

    B V Soma Sastry
